The eMIP Platform is launching a fantastic new tool available to our users: the Free OCR Service offered by the eMIP Platform, developed under a grant from Microsoft.
What is OCR?
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a technology that transforms different types of documents, such as scans, images or PDFs, into editable and searchable data. It is ideal for digitizing documents and improving work efficiency. By applying this "ocerization" technology, the new PDF document becomes "searchable", that is, information can be searched for in the content.
How does it work?
It's simple and fast:
Upload: Upload the desired file in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .PDF format to the eMIP platform.
Fast Processing: Wait a few seconds and you will automatically receive the OCR-ized file directly on your computer.
Repeat the positive experience: Enjoy eMIP's Free OCR Service by repeatedly using this secure service.
Safety and Transparency:
An essential aspect to emphasize is that the service does not store personal data. This process has been audited and declared compliant with cyber security norms. Moreover, the source code of the utility is public and can be consulted on GitHub at eMIP-ro/Utilitare.
